I actually finished this commission back in June of 2012 but wanted to wait until after it was gifted to share it with you all. I worked on this one during my 366 project and I can easily say that this was the most physically demanding piece I've ever created. Lots of hand cramps! (Prismacolor colored pencils take a lot of pressure for that rich color)

This is actually how I ran into wrist troubles with my 366 Project - and part of the reason that I can now count myself as an ambidextrous artist! So, half of this piece was drawn left-handed. :)


Created with Prismacolor colored pencils on 11x14 Bristol Vellum Paper in about 80 hours.
