I don't think I could ever get tired of drawing him! But this piece presented a different challenge for me. Subtleties. I tend to go for deep shadows and features defined by shading. This time, though, was a practice in achieving like-ness and impact with subtle contours and lighter shades.
This is my third Michael Jackson commission. The commissioner chose the title for this piece, as well.

>>Created with chalk and charcoal on 8x12 black Strathmore paper. Took approx. 25 to finish.

This is lovely. Every feature is so...smooth. It's delicately made and drawn, which makes it the best portrait of him I have ever, in my life, seen. The ear could have used slightly more shading, because at this moment, unfortunately, I cannot tell where the light is coming from. But other than a few shading issues, I think you nailed it pretty well. The hair is so nicely done, it makes me think you actually took a picture. You have a talent, and I do believe this drawing is only just the tip. It's easily his most beautifully drawn portrait.
