The New Year is well underway and I've taken a little break to rest from my 366 Project - But as of this week, things are back in full swing!

I have TONS of projects in the planning stages and one of those is my first self-portrait. I've always felt really weird about drawing myself, so I thought I'd take baby steps and share a picture first. I probably won't draw this one, though. I have something much more complicated in mind. :P

Just curious - how does everyone else feel about drawing/painting yourself?

i think creating self portrait is process of self discovering , with pure third person view.
When we look into mirror we don't see what is, but what we wish to see, so often, we miss something, but during drawing self-portrait, those tiny bits will show up :) and u will be surprised :)

I think, drawing self , wont be as different as drawing someone else, coz then, our focus is just art and drawing it right, true to the reference picture, and the true-you, we hve seen in so many of your cards, and latest in card no 366 :)

it is a process of self discovery, I agree with that wholeheartedly! I was planning to start one not long after I posted this, but my art world has gotten a little crazy, so it'll have to wait. :P

I thought I would hate it, but actually quite liked it! It made me look at myself quite differently,just trying to get the shapes and shades right, without having any judgment to go with that!

I can't wait to see everything you have in mind:D as of the self portrait seems an awsome ideaaa:D and from my point of view I'm sure you'll be awsome again:P I've always wanted to, but... you'know I am not that good, the closest I can get is making a silouete or something:P But who knows? maybe sooomeedaaay, I'll be able to:P btw I know that a lot of people may have told you this, but your eyes are amazing:P :)
